Taylor Vickery

Accredited Practising Dietitian, Nutritionist & Founder

Welcome to Tailored Wellbeing Nutritionist, where your journey towards better health begins with Taylor, our dedicated Director and experienced senior dietitian with over five years of specialised experience in metabolic, hormone, weight loss (including medication and weight loss surgery) and chronic disease. Taylor graduated from Griffith University Gold Coast and originally from Tasmania, bringing a unique blend of academic excellence and personal uniqueness to her commitment to her practice.

Taylor’s passion for nutrition was ignited by her close encounters with eating disorders among loved ones. This profound personal experience drove her to explore the world of nutrition, health, and fitness, initially overwhelmed by the complexity of optimising health in a sea of information. Fuelled by a desire to navigate these challenges in a science-backed and non-dieting way, Taylor now dedicates her life to helping others achieve their health goals.

At Tailored Wellbeing Nutritionist, Taylor offers a wealth of expertise in several key areas: weight loss surgery, IBS and gut health, women’s health (including menopause and PCOS), hormone and glucose dysfunction (such as insulin resistance, T2DM, and glucose intolerance), sustainable weight loss with experience in weight loss medication (Ozempic, Mounjaro & Saxenda) and experience with Gastric Balloons (Obera and Allurion Balloon procedures), and eating disorders (teenagers and adolescents). Her approach is grounded in a deep understanding of these conditions and a commitment to addressing them with empathy, innovation and actionable steps.

Taylor’s approach is refreshingly realistic and down-to-earth. She embodies a no-one-size-fits-all philosophy, recognizing that each individual’s journey is unique. Her holistic and innovative methods are designed to empower you to make informed choices, improve your body image, and foster a healthier relationship with food. With Taylor, you’ll find a supportive practitioner who helps you break free from the constraints of chronic disease, disordered eating, and weight concerns.
Let Taylor’s compassionate nature and expert guidance lead you towards a healthier, more fulfilling life. At Tailored Wellbeing Nutritionist, your well-being is our top priority, and Taylor is here to help you every step of the way.

Lara Jones

Accredited Practising Dietitian, Nutritionist & Founder

I’m Lara, an Accredited Practising Dietitian who has spent a lifetime exploring food from every angle, from childhood fascination with nutrition books to decades of real-world experience in hospitality, and as a mum of grown children.

I’m particularly fascinated by how our food system has evolved over the past 50–60 years, and what this means for our health, our choices, and our confidence in navigating the modern food landscape. That blend of knowledge, curiosity, and lived experience shapes how I support clients at Tailored Wellbeing.

My approach is practical and evidence-based, with a warm, human touch. I help people cut through conflicting advice, understand what their bodies need, and build sustainable habits that feel doable, not daunting.

I also have lived experience with ADHD and neurodivergence, and this informs another area of my work. Executive function, appetite regulation, energy patterns, daily routines (and number of ‘spoons’) all influence how and what people eat, neurodivergent or not.

My goal is to create strategies that support each person’s uniquely different life. No judgement, no gimmicks, just real food strategies that work for real people, in real lives.

WHAT WE STAND FOR

Mind | Body | Soul (food)

At Tailored Wellbeing Nutritionist we listen and understand you first and educate and empower you second. We know all to well how it can feel coming in to see a new health professional or dietitian and sharing your personal and vulnerable journey with food, weight and body image. Here at Tailored Wellbeing Nutritionist we offer a safe, supportive, accepting and compassionate space working towards empowering you toward thinking about food, eating and your body in a better and more positive way to allow you to live the life that’s ruled by you and not another “new” dieting gimmick!

We are on a mission to strip nutrition back to basics and allow the focus to be on the whole person. We know wellness and nutrition is different for everybody and influences beyond just physical health, but mental, social and spiritual/cultural. At Tailored Wellbeing we have a unique, innovative and holistic approach to our dietitian services providing a three-pillar approach: Mind, Body and Soul to inspire and empower you with expert evidenced-based nutrition education and advice.

At Tailored Wellbeing Nutritionist we know that nutrition is a science, but eating is a behaviour and behaviour change is hard! That’s why our dietitians explore the WHY and HOW you eat, and not just focus on the WHAT you are eating.

We know that eating and food can have an emotional connection, for many eating is the comfort used to soothe emotions, whether that may be for boredom, sadness, happiness, and stress or overwhelm. It can take time, when over-coming
disordered eating or after surgery, for your gut and brain to re-align. This can often leave you to feel as though your head says one thing and your tummy says something else and create a sense of overwhelm or loss of control. For many there
is a time of grieving the connection of what food and eating meant for you, and an adjustment period while learning how this new lifestyle fits with your life now!

At Tailored Wellbeing Nutritionist we are passionate about supporting you through
this journey so you can experience the incredible benefits of your physical and lifestyle transformation – beyond just reaching a weight goal. We also have an
interest in the evolving research on mood and food and how eating a whole food, plant-based and balanced diet can enhance and improve your mental health.

Throughout your journey there can be changes to not only your physical appearance but also how your body responds to food and the experience of eating. We guide you through developing a positive relationship with food and your body and support you towards learning a term called “interceptive awareness” which means the ability to identify, understand and respond positively to internal signals
such as hunger and fullness cues.

Think of it like this, imagine living a life whereby you ate the food that made your body feel nourished to thrive, have more energy and allow you to live the life you choose, rather than finding the next diet, the next quick fix, which only leads down the path to yo-yo dieting and further weight gain, guilt and shame and missing out on the important life milestones. Our purpose is to help you understand how to best fuel your body, offer a safe space to find happiness within yourself, and teach you skills to confidentially make suitable food choices that will optimise your health.

Enjoying a variety of nourishing food, which does not only fuel your body but also feeds the soul is far from impossible! At Tailored Wellbeing Nutritionists we offer tailored guidance that will have you feeding your body in a sustainable way to help you feel good and find joy in eating again. Whatever your health goal looks like, our team of dietitians are driven by guiding you towards leading a healthy lifestyle and eating in a way that’s not excessively-restrictive, lacking variety or unsustainable.

Our health professionals believe that achieving your goals doesn’t have to mean sacrificing the foods you love – there is a place for everything! To us ‘good’ and ‘bad’ foods don’t exist, and by delivering high-quality education on the importance of creating a balanced diet, one that is built around nutritious choices, you should find yourself reaching for foods that are naturally going to contribute to better wellbeing. By mastering your eating behaviour, through our expert support, you can have the freedom to enjoy life and be present in all of its special moments again.
